Toyoda Gosei begins production at Miyagi Ohira Plant

Toyoda Gosei said that its subsidiary Toyoda Gosei East Japan has commenced production of large plastic automotive parts at its Miyagi Ohira Plant in Miyagi, Japan.

According to Toyoda Gosei, the Miyagi Ohira Plant will manufacture front grilles and other plastic painted products in proximity to its customer Toyota Motor East Japan.

Toyoda Gosei sad that the products were supplied previously from other Japanese regions, and nearby production through the new plant will boost competitiveness.

The company already manufactures weatherstrips, airbags, and other products in East Japan or the Tohoku region, where the Miyagi Ohira Plant is situated. Tohoku is the third automobile production region of Toyota Motor Group in Japan after Chubu and Kyushu.
