TCS introduces Intelligent Subscription solution for media companies
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has introduced a cloud-based solution called Intelligent Subscription for helping the media and publishing industry to transform the customer experience.
Leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform, the new solution also helps media and publishing firms in transitioning to subscription-based order-to-cash processes for physical and digital content.
Richard Whittington – Global Head, Media & Publishing, SAP said: “We are pleased to work with TCS on this industry cloud solution. SAP has a long history of business innovation and providing technology to the world’s leading media and publishing firms and will continue to support them with our industry cloud strategy.
“By leveraging the industry expertise, commitment to quality delivery, and customer focus, the teams at TCS and SAP are helping businesses make the transformational move to the Intelligent Enterprise.”
According to TCS, enterprises are currently adopting customer-centric experience models for ensuring long-term customer engagement. This is because the industry has shifted away from conventional one-off selling to a consumption-based recurring revenue model. Besides, end consumers want flexible ‘pay per use’ or ‘time-bound subscription’ options for enabling ‘pay for value’, said TCS.
The Intelligent Subscription solution is said to address such requirements by utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning to customize content curation and for providing recommendations based on user profiles, past subscriptions, and preferences. This helps media and publishing businesses to sell digital experiences and embrace new subscription and pricing models.
TCS said that the single source platform for digital and physical content, helps enterprises in bundling their offerings to provide better value to end consumers.
The Intelligent Subscription solution is part of SAP’s industry cloud solutions for the media sector and can be adopted by enterprises across industries who are planning to have new subscription or consumption-based business models on a single, automated platform.
TCS claimed that the solution helps in greater cross selling or up selling to consumers, which leads to improved revenue growth, and greater customer engagement. Apart from that, it is designed to help significantly in achieving faster time to market and cut down the total cost of ownership of legacy applications.
Akhilesh Tiwari – Global Head, Enterprise Application Services, TCS said: “TCS’ Intelligent Subscription solution leverages our contextual knowledge in the media and publishing industry and our deep expertise in evolving innovative business models, to help organizations reimagine their business, enhance customer experience and unlock continuous business value.”
