Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), in collaboration with Sree Narayana Mission (SNM) of Singapore, has unveiled the Seniors Lab, a pioneering digital programme engineered to champion integrated senior care. Targeting the escalating needs of Singapore’s ageing population, Seniors Lab intends to revamp care delivery methodologies, integrating Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to optimize healthcare expenses and foster a secure, independent living for SNM’s senior members.

Innovative Features and Expansion of SHINESeniors:

IoT-enabled sensors are integral to the Seniors Lab setup. Installed in senior residences, they digitally record and relay data like activity, potential falls, and social isolation cues, while prioritizing privacy. Moreover, they seamlessly align with wearables, healthcare platforms, and concierge services. Originating from the success of the SHINESeniors programme—a SMU-TCS iCity Lab venture—Seniors Lab introduces an array of refined services including emergency response, concierge assistance, and comprehensive medical tracking, ensuring seniors maintain autonomy.
