Tata Power said that its fully-owned subsidiary — TP Saurya Limited (TPSL) will set up a 250MW solar power plant at the Dondaicha Solar Park in Maharashtra.
In this regard, TP Saurya Limited had been issued a letter of intent (LOI) from Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd. (MAHAGENCO) for installing the grid-connected photovoltaic power plant.
The Tata Power subsidiary was awarded the solar power project via tariff-based competitive bidding followed by e-reverse auction.
TP Saurya Limited had received the LoI in a bid announced by MAHAGENCO for the solar power plant in Dhule district.
Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has given consent to buy the electricity produced by the Tata Power solar plant.
The solar plant project at the Dondaicha Solar Park is expected to be commissioned within 15 months from the date of execution of the power purchase agreement (PPA).

Tata Power said that with the project in Dondaicha Solar Park, its total renewable capacity will reach 4.61GW with an installed capacity of 2.94GW and 1.66GW under implementation.
Recently, TP Saurya Limited had won the rights to construct a 300MW solar project in the Neemuch Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited.
