Tata Power launches off-grid solar solutions in three Indian states

Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL), a fully-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has launched off-grid solar solutions in Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand.

According to Tata Power, off grid solutions offer a combination of high-efficient solar modules, batteries, and inverters. They are available in 11 variants in the range of 1-10Kw and come with a warranty of five years.

The Tata Group company said that the off-grid solar solutions are engineered for delivering an efficient integrated power system to consumers for their requirements of power backup when there is a shortage of grid supply.

Tata Power said that the charging of the solar off-grid solutions takes place during the day time and helps consumers access sustainable electricity by lowering their dependence on costly and polluting alternatives such as diesel generators during nights and outages.

A Tata Power spokesperson said: “We are happy to provide the residents of West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand the solar off grid solutions. These solutions would greatly speed up the country’s switch to renewable energy and assure clean energy backup in the case of grid outages by promoting mass adoption of solar rooftops.”
