Tata Power joins hands with Tollygunge Club to boost EV charging in Kolkata

Tata Power, a prominent player in India’s integrated power sector and a leading provider of EV charging solutions, has embarked on a significant collaboration with the prestigious Tollygunge Club to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in Kolkata. This milestone was celebrated with the inauguration of a 7.4 kW AC Type 2 charger at the Tollygunge Club premises. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Sujoy Banerjee, President of Tollygunge Club, and Brig. V Ganapathy (Retd), CEO of Tollygunge Club.

The newly installed charger, serving both club members and visitors, underscores Tata Power’s unwavering commitment to driving EV adoption and contributing to the green mobility revolution in Kolkata. Tata Power has made significant strides in the EV charging infrastructure domain, deploying over 50 public and semi-public charging points throughout Kolkata. With nearly 60% market share, Tata Power is the dominant EV charging point operator in India, with an extensive nationwide network encompassing more than 420 cities, offering a wide range of charging solutions, including over 59,000 home chargers, 4,800 public and semi-public charging points, and 430 bus charging stations.
