Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced the delivery of 181 Winger veterinary vans to the Government of Odisha. Flagged off by Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, the fully-equipped vans are intended to bolster veterinary services across the state. Tata Motors emerged as the top bidder in the e-bidding process conducted through the Government e-Marketplace and has outfitted these vans with state-of-the-art features.
Tata Motors Aims to Improve Animal Healthcare in Odisha
Speaking on the occasion, Rohit Srivastava, Business Head – CV Passengers, Tata Motors said, “Tata Motors is happy to deliver 181 veterinary vans to the Government of Odisha, ushering in a new era of animal healthcare accessibility. Through the delivery of purpose-built Winger veterinary vans, we are committed to advancing the state’s vision of widespread veterinary services.” These Winger vans will be utilized by the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Government of Odisha, thereby fulfilling a critical role in the state’s animal healthcare system.
Tata Winger’s Key Features Enhance Veterinary Service Operations
The Tata Winger vans are powered by a 2.2-litre DiCOR engine and feature enhanced torque and fuel economy. Equipped with an ECO switch and Gear Shift Advisor, the vehicles are designed for optimal fuel efficiency. With a best-in-class grade-ability of 25.8%, the Winger vans promise easy manoeuvring on steep inclines. The vans also feature independent front suspension with anti-roll bars and hydraulic shock absorbers for a smooth ride. These design considerations align with Tata Motors’ commitment to efficient and comfortable operations for veterinary services across Odisha.
