Dangote’s refinery is valued near $47bn before capacity doubles
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has regulatory approval to offer 4.1 billion shares at ₦525 each, potentially bringing in about ₦2.15 trillion while valuing the business near $47 billion. Yet the base IPO represents only about 3.3% of enlarged shares. Investors are therefore being asked to price a $20 billion refinery not just on its current 700,000 bpd capability, but on the plan to double capacity to 1.4 million bpd.
