Form Energy secures $750m as 80 GWh backlog pushes iron-air batteries into AI grid infrastructure
Form Energy has secured $750 million after its commercial backlog expanded from about 20 GWh to 80 GWh. The funding gives its 100-hour iron-air battery a pathway toward industrial scale, but manufacturing execution must now catch up with demand from Google, Xcel Energy, Crusoe and utility customers.
