ByteDance has reportedly expanded a planned $20 billion syndicated loan to $29.6 billion after lender demand exceeded $30 billion. The TikTok owner is considering as much as $70 billion of 2026 capital spending, largely around AI infrastructure, yet the loan is priced more cheaply than its previous offshore facility. For one of the world’s most valuable private companies, the financing shows how profitable AI leaders are beginning to combine enormous internal cash generation with public-company-scale debt markets.
