Still Austin Whiskey unveils barrel-proof Cask Strength Rye Whiskey
Texas-based whiskey producer, Still Austin Whiskey Co., unveils their Cask Strength Rye Whiskey. Priced at $65, the whiskey brings a fresh addition to the company’s collection. The launch follows the company’s award-winning rye, “The Artist,” recognized with a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The new 116-proof spirit, crafted from 100% Texas rye, underlines Texas’s growing reputation in the whiskey domain, traditionally led by Kentucky and Tennessee spirits.
Introducing Cask Strength Rye Whiskey
“Cask Strength Rye is a more aromatically intense, technicolor version of The Artist, with rich notes of cherry cobbler with a buttery cinnamon crust, candied ginger and lemon peels, and apricot streusel coffee cake,” describes the Still Austin Whiskey Co. The palate experience includes flavors of grilled peaches with mint ice cream, apple and marzipan dumplings, and gingerbread cookies with lemon zest. The spirit leaves a long, spicy finish that evokes sensations of baking spices in brown butter, muddled cherries, and mint leaves.

This launch follows Still Austin’s limited-edition Bottled in Bond series, featuring four unique bourbon expressions. The Cask Strength Rye Whiskey is available online in most states via Reserve Bar and on the company website.
