Sterling and Wilson Solar appoints Amit Jain as global CEO

Sterling and Wilson Solar Limited (SWSL), an Indian solar EPC contractor, has appointed Amit Jain as its global CEO in the place of Bikesh Ogra, who resigned the position with effect from 31 May 2021.

Bikesh Ogra will continue as a director on the board of the Shapoorji Pallonji group company.

According to Sterling and Wilson Solar, Amit Jain has been associated with the company since early as the country head for the US and Australia. He is said to have been instrumental in developing the US and Australia as important markets for the solar EPC contractor.

Amit Jain, who will continue to operate from Dubai, will handle the global operations of Sterling and Wilson Solar and report to the board of directors. He will responsible for business development, market growth and the profit and loss of the company, which operates across more than 25 countries.

The new global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Solar is claimed to be a veteran in the EPC sector with more than 29 years of experience in multiple industries like renewable energy, chemical/ process plants, oil and gas, telecom infrastructure, and power transmission.
