Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy secures major PV project in Rajasthan
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL), a leading domestic renewable Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company, has announced a significant new order for a photovoltaic (PV) project in Rajasthan, India. This prestigious contract involves the Engineering, Design, Testing, and Commissioning of a 400 MW AC / 633 MW DC PV plant, alongside the supply and installation of a 33/220 kV switchyard. The total project value, inclusive of taxes, levies, and duties, is estimated to be over INR 550 crore.
Order Win Marks Major Milestone for SWREL
The recent order win underscores SWREL’s robust position in the rapidly expanding Indian renewable energy market. Amit Jain, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, expressed enthusiasm about the achievement. Jain noted, “We are thrilled to receive another large domestic order from a leading private renewable Independent Power Producer (IPP) in India. The Indian market continues to grow rapidly, and as an established home-grown EPC player, we are geared to target this high growth.”
Strong Order Inflows Highlight Growth Trajectory
With this new contract, SWREL has now secured approximately INR 900 crore in domestic order inflows for the second quarter of FY25. This follows a substantial order intake of around INR 2,170 crore in the first quarter. Jain further added, “We remain confident of further augmenting this order momentum due to a strong domestic bid pipeline being in place.”
