Stena Drilling wins contract for Stena Spey drilling rig from TotalEnergies

Stena Drilling said that it has bagged a new contract from TotalEnergies to provide its Stena Spey mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) for operations in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).

The Stena Spey drilling rig is slated to begin operations for the French energy giant between 16 March 2022 and 15 April 2022.

According to Stena Drilling, the total scope duration of the contract is estimated to be 120 days. The value of the offshore drilling contract was not disclosed by the company.

The Scottish drilling contractor stated: “Stena Drilling are delighted to secure work with TotalEnergies in the UKCS and look forward to working with the Company during this period.”
