“These Roasteries amplify the Starbucks brand, serve as innovation hubs, and create experiences for millions of customers around the world.”
Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago has about 200 employees, which includes roasters, baristas, commessas, mixologists, and bakers. It is a working coffee roastery where Starbucks Roasters will be roasting the company’s single-origin coffees and blends called Starbucks Reserve in small batches.
The coffee roasted in Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago will be exclusively served to visitors of the location and will be available in handcrafted beverages and also as freshly scooped whole bean coffee.
Jill Enomoto – Starbucks Roastery Design & Concept vice president said: “The design of the Chicago Roastery was inspired by the iconic Chicago landmark, and the city itself.
“We embraced the building’s natural light, married it with shades of classic Starbucks greens and intentionally wove in design features to encourage customer exploration and highlight the love and respect we have for coffee.”
The Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago has three main coffee bars – Starbucks Reserve Coffee Bar, Experiential Coffee Bar, and Barrel-Aged Coffee Bar. Put together, three coffee bars offer seven brewing methods, including espresso, coffee press, pour over, siphon, Chemex, Clover, and cold brewing.
