SS8 Networks acquires location intelligence provider Creativity Software

SS8 Networks, a California-based network intelligence company, has acquired Creativity Software, a UK-based provider of mobile network location intelligence.

According to SS8 Networks, the acquisition enlarges its capabilities to bring in precise location data, while considerably boosting its global reach.

Founded in 2001, Creativity Software is engaged in the design and deployment of passive and active location platforms. Its solution offerings and target markets are said to complement those of SS8 Networks.

The current clients of Creativity Software include emergency responders, mobile operators, public safety and law enforcement agencies.

Richard Lee — Creativity Software Founder and CEO said: “This deal represents a powerful combination of cultures and technologies.

“As Creativity Software moves into its next exciting phase, the additional scale will allow us to continue developing cutting-edge Location-Based Services solutions with enhanced delivery and support for our new and existing customers, partners, and resellers.”

Creativity Software is the second accretive acquisition in the past 12 months for SS8 Networks. The acquisition also advances its strategic growth plan by advancing its end-to-end solutions for public safety entities and communication service providers (CSPs).

Besides, Creativity Software gives SS8 Networks the scale for responding to anticipated growth in location and lawful intelligence markets as 5G brings enhanced bandwidth and encryption capabilities to mobile networks.
