SPIE to acquire Swiss IT consulting firm Corporate Software AG
SPIE, a European provider of multi-technical services across energy and communications sectors, has agreed to acquire Corporate Software AG, an IT consulting and service provider in Switzerland.
Corporate Software AG, established in 2011, specializes in IT and business application solutions, with a strong focus on digitalization and cloud services. The Swiss company reported revenue of approximately €4 million for its financial year ending in June 2024 and currently employs 21 skilled professionals.
SPIE views the acquisition as an opportunity to expand its footprint in Switzerland and enhance its technological expertise, particularly in automation, data analytics, and AI-driven solutions. The transaction will enable SPIE to deliver cutting-edge digital transformation services to its clients while retaining the expertise of Corporate Software AG’s founders, who will remain with the company to oversee its growth.
This acquisition aligns with SPIE’s strategy to enhance its technological capabilities, particularly in automation, data analytics, and AI-driven solutions. The company aims to leverage Corporate Software AG’s expertise to deliver innovative digital transformation services to its clients. Notably, the founders of Corporate Software AG will remain actively involved in the business to support its ongoing growth.
SPIE Expands in Poland with Elektromontaż-Poznań S.A.
In a separate development, SPIE also announced in October 2024 the signing of an agreement to acquire Elektromontaż-Poznań S.A., a Polish company specializing in electrical installation services. This acquisition aims to strengthen SPIE’s market share in Poland while broadening its competencies and customer base.
SPIE’s acquisition of Elektromontaż-Poznań S.A. marks a significant move into Poland’s electrical and mechanical building technology sector. With nearly 75 years of experience, Elektromontaż-Poznań specializes in electrical installation services, including design, consulting, delivery, and installation for industrial, commercial, and public administration clients.
The company generated a robust revenue of approximately €70 million in 2023 and employs around 330 professionals. Through this acquisition, SPIE aims to strengthen its market share in Poland, expand its portfolio of competencies, and position itself as one of the top three players in the Polish market.
SPIE Central Europe’s Managing Director, Paweł Skowroński, expressed confidence in the acquisition, highlighting Elektromontaż-Poznań’s reputation for high-value solutions as a key driver for meeting future customer needs. Tomasz Bochna, CEO of Elektromontaż-Poznań, emphasized the mutual benefits of the partnership, citing the opportunity to access a broader customer base and tackle more demanding projects.
SPIE’s latest acquisitions reflect its ongoing commitment to achieving energy transition and responsible digital transformation. The company, which recorded consolidated revenue of €8.7 billion and EBITA of €584 million in 2023, continues to expand its presence across Europe, reinforcing its position as a leader in multi-technical services.
SPIE expects both acquisitions to close in early 2025, subject to regulatory and customary conditions.
