Sparrows Group wins five-year inspection services contract for UKCS assets

Sparrows Group has won a five-year contract from an undisclosed major operator in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) for undertaking inspection services across the latter’s assets in the region.

According to Sparrows Group, the project has a couple of one-year extension options.

Under the contract, the Scotland-based engineering and maintenance solutions provider will be responsible for fixed lifting equipment and also lifting accessories across 11 assets of the operator in the region.

The scope of the contract includes the inspection and in-depth examination of loose and fixed lifting and safety equipment such as runway beams, padeyes, personnel descent device stations, and accessories.

Work under the contract will be executed by Sparrows Group from its base in Aberdeen, Scotland.

The company will also provide technical support, which includes the management and execution of safe lifting operations on-site, and also advice on lifting plans, procedures and the applicable legislation and guidance.
