Sonata Software sets foot in Malaysia with wholly-owned subsidiary

Sonata Software, an Indian IT services company, has broadened its global footprint by incorporating a fully owned subsidiary, Sonata Software Malaysia, effective June 13, 2023.

The new subsidiary has been established with an initial paid-up share capital of MYR 10,000, with Sonata Software holding 100% of the shares.

As the tech industry continues to grow in Malaysia, Sonata Software is set to contribute to the landscape by providing end-to-end IT services. This marks a significant expansion for the firm, further solidifying its position in the international market.

The creation of Sonata Software Malaysia does not fall under the category of related party transactions. Also, the company clarified that neither the promoter nor the promoter group, nor any group companies, have any vested interest in the newly formed entity.

The company is all set for Sonata Software Malaysia to commence its operations in the near future, aiming to strengthen its service offerings in the region.
