SmartDrone acquires Skytec drone operations to expand UAV services

SmartDrone Corporation, headquartered in Tyler, Texas, has officially acquired the drone operations of Skytec, LLC, a Chattanooga-based firm specializing in remote sensing technology and geospatial data analysis. Announced on 3 December 2024, the acquisition is positioned to significantly bolster SmartDrone’s UAV service capabilities while ensuring continuity for Skytec’s existing client base.

Skytec, established in 2015, has earned recognition for its advanced geospatial data analysis, blending satellite imagery, drone platforms, and GIS expertise to deliver precise, scalable solutions.
