Smart Care acquires Richard Meek Air Conditioning to expand Texas footprint
Smart Care, a Chicago-based provider commercial equipment services and a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, has announced its acquisition of Richard Meek Air Conditioning.
The Texas-based Richard Meek Air Conditioning specializes in the repair and installation of commercial refrigeration and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. This latest acquisition further solidifies Smart Care’s position in Texas, marking its fourth acquisition in the state and ninth overall since partnering with Wind Point.
Founded in 2004, Richard Meek Air Conditioning is a reputable service provider based in Wichita Falls. Known for its emergency repair, preventative maintenance, and installation services for refrigeration and HVAC equipment, Richard Meek Air Conditioning serves a diverse range of clients including grocers, convenience stores, restaurants, and other retail foodservice providers throughout Texas.

The inclusion of Richard Meek Air Conditioning will further enhance the offerings of Smart Care’s Climate Solutions business, a well-regarded entity in the refrigeration systems sector, serving a broad client base across the US that includes grocers, convenience stores, and warehouse operators.
With this acquisition, Smart Care plans to continue its strategic expansion, focusing on key commercial refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC repair and maintenance service providers across the US and Canada.
