Shearwater GeoServices wins multicomponent surveys contract from Santos

Shearwater GeoServices said that it has bagged a contract from Australian energy company Santos to carry out a couple of multicomponent surveys offshore Western Australia.

According to the Norwegian seismic exploration company, the two-month program includes multicomponent survey of the Keraudren North Extension with an area of around 680 sqkm in the Bedout Basin, and the Petrel Sub-Basin 3D survey of nearly 1,100 sqkm.

Shearwater GeoServices said that its Geo Coral seismic acquisition vessel will begin to carry out data acquisition on the projects in February 2022 using a multicomponent streamer system.

Earlier this month, Shearwater GeoServices had won a contract from CGG to execute a large multicomponent seismic survey over the North Viking Graben area, offshore Norway.
