Servotech Power Systems to launch EV charger manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh

Servotech Power Systems Ltd., India’s top electric vehicle (EV) charger manufacturer, has penned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. This collaboration seeks to inaugurate a state-of-the-art EV Charger manufacturing facility in the state, emphasizing backward integration. The venture will be orchestrated under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022.

The pivotal MoU was officiated by Raman Bhatia, Managing Director of Servotech Power Systems Ltd., and Minister of Industrial Development, Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’. This monumental agreement witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Daya Shankar Singh, Transport Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and IAS officials Abhishek Prakash and Prathamesh Kumar from Invest UP.

The collaboration will see Servotech Power Systems investing a whopping 300 crores in the manufacturing plant, slated to roll out in stages. Notably, the initiative promises to usher in employment opportunities for over 500 individuals. The facility, which is set to commence operations partially by the first quarter of 2025, boasts an impressive production capacity: it will produce 10,000 EV DC Fast chargers annually, targeting both the domestic and international markets.

Complementing the ambitious Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022, an EV Roundtable Conference has been scheduled at Hyatt Lucknow. Titled “Exploring Opportunities to Achieve UP’s Electric Mobility Vision”, the conference is poised to delve deep into fostering collaborations, addressing the intricate challenges of establishing an efficient charging infrastructure, and propelling strategic partnerships in the EV manufacturing sector.

Reflecting on the prospective impact of this venture, Raman Bhatia, Founder & MD of Servotech Power Systems Ltd., shared, “Uttar Pradesh is a goldmine of potential to emerge as the epicenter for Electric Vehicles, chargers, and batteries manufacturing.
