Sensient Technologies to acquire GlobeNatural’s natural color business

Food ingredient news : US-based Sensient Technologies has agreed to buy Peruvian natural food ingredient company GlobeNatural’s natural color business for an undisclosed price.

Sensient Technologies, which manufactures colors, flavors and fragrances, expects the acquisition to strengthen its ‘Seed to Shelf’ strategy. Post-acquisition, it will rename the GlobeNatural’s natural color business to Sensient Natural Colors Peru.

Headquartered in Lima and owned by the Michell Group, GlobeNatural has over 25 years of experience in the procuring, manufacturing, and exporting of natural food ingredients.

GlobeNatural’s natural food colors are used in a broad variety of food and beverage applications across various parts of the globe.

Commenting on Sensient Technologies acquisition of GlobeNatural’s natural color business, Paul Manning – Chairman and CEO of Sensient Technologies, said: “This acquisition is an important component of our ‘seed to shelf’ initiative in food colors.

Sensient Technologies acquisition of GlobeNatural’s natural color business is expected to be wrapped up in the first quarter of this year.
