Semtech launches PerSe Connect SX9376 chipset for 5G mobile devices

Semtech Corporation has launched PerSe Connect SX9376, a new integrated circuit (IC) purpose-built for 5G mobile devices to expand its PerSe product portfolio.

According to the American semiconductor manufacturer, the PerSe technology by sensing human proximity lets smartphones and other end devices in implementing advanced radio frequency (RF) control.

The PerSe Connect SX9376 allows engineers to improve the performance of RF, increase connectivity, and ensure conformity to worldwide specific absorption rate (SAR) specifications for devices that support 5G.

The new chipset for 5G mobile devices supports up to eight sensor inputs that can accommodate multiple antennas.
