This acquisition aims to meet increasing U.S. demand for premium and organic dairy products, enhancing Schuman Cheese’s already robust collection of high-quality, imported cheeses.

According to sources close to the deal, the acquisition includes Old Croc, a brand cherished for its bold, flavorful Australian cheddar crafted exclusively from grass-fed cows, offering a natural and intense taste profile. Schuman Cheese now adds a variety of Old Croc products to its portfolio, including sharp cheddar blocks, bites, slices, and spreads. Ian Schuman, Import Business Manager at Schuman Cheese, noted that the acquisition strengthens the company’s global footprint by integrating Trugman-Nash’s exceptional brands, which are recognized across the U.S. for their quality and distinctive flavors.

Alongside Old Croc, Schuman Cheese has also become the exclusive U.S. distributor of Organic Herd products. Produced by the Organic Milk Suppliers Co-operative, the Organic Herd brand includes British Organic Dairy Co. cheddar and Kingdom Organic aged cheddar. This partnership aligns with Schuman’s commitment to sustainability, as Organic Herd’s dairy farmers follow stringent animal welfare and environmental standards.
