SAMHI Hotels Limited has made a significant move to boost its portfolio with the acquisition of Innmar Tourism and Hotels Private Limited. The company announced that this deal, valued at approximately ₹2,050 million, is set to expand SAMHI’s footprint in the fast-growing Whitefield area of Bengaluru. This acquisition includes an operational hotel with 142 rooms, and there are plans for a second hotel with 200 to 220 rooms, potentially bringing the total capacity to 360 rooms. The new properties will be positioned in the Upper Upscale and Upscale segments, following a rebranding initiative led by SAMHI in collaboration with a global hotel operator.

SAMHI Hotels Limited, a renowned branded hotel ownership and asset management platform in India, aims to capitalize on Bengaluru’s thriving commercial market. The company already operates six hotels with 918 rooms in the city, spanning multiple segments. The newly acquired properties will significantly augment SAMHI’s presence in the city, which is widely regarded as India’s largest and fastest-growing office market.

This acquisition will be SAMHI’s second “twin hotel complex” in Bengaluru. The first such complex is the 336-room Courtyard by Marriott & Fairfield by Marriott in Outer Ring Road. According to SAMHI, this latest addition will bolster same-store growth and diversify its upscale offerings. The move is fully funded through internal accruals, indicating the company’s strong financial position.

Speaking on the acquisition, Ashish Jakhanwala, Chairman and Managing Director of SAMHI Hotels Limited, emphasized that this transaction aligns perfectly with the company’s growth strategy. Jakhanwala expressed confidence in the value the rebranding and expansion would add to SAMHI’s portfolio, especially in Bengaluru’s rapidly growing office and aviation markets.

This strategic move highlights SAMHI’s commitment to scaling its operations and strengthening its presence in key markets. With the second hotel scheduled to open soon, SAMHI continues to play a dominant role in shaping the future of India’s hotel industry.

The addition of the 142-room hotel in Whitefield is seen as a game-changer for SAMHI Hotels as it seeks to capture more of Bengaluru’s booming hospitality market. The expansion plans include creating a “twin hotel complex,” reminiscent of their successful development on Outer Ring Road. Market analysts note that this deal could significantly improve SAMHI’s growth in the upscale segment, given the strategic location in Whitefield, a prime business hub.
