Roane State Community College, part of the Tennessee Board of Regents, has made a significant update to its test proctoring systems by choosing the Test Proctoring Platform. This change is set to impact the college’s nine locations throughout East Tennessee, aiming to bolster the integrity and security of examinations.

YuJa Verity will replace the former test proctoring service, enhancing the college’s ability to maintain high standards of academic honesty. The platform integrates seamlessly with the D2L Brightspace Learning Management System, which is already in use at the college. This integration includes support for automated and live online proctoring that aligns with the institution’s existing single sign-on tools.

The platform offers advanced features such as AI-enhanced facial recognition for identity verification, detailed result reporting, and customizable flagging options. Moreover, it allows for the creation of tailored proctoring profiles to accommodate students with special needs and those not enrolled in the college’s LMS, such as participants in placement tests or third-party exams.

A key component of YuJa Verity is its browser-based Lockdown App, designed to prevent students from accessing unauthorized applications or websites during exams. This application is a critical tool in combating common cheating methods, ensuring that the test environment is secure and controlled.
