ResMed acquires out-of-hospital care software developer Medifox Dan

San Diego-based medical device company ResMed has completed the previously announced acquisition of Medifox Dan, a German out-of-hospital care management software developer, for €958.6 million ($997.5 million) in a move to expand its SaaS business to Germany, its first non-US market.

Through the acquisition that was announced in June 2022, ResMed adds outpatient therapy services to its SaaS offering portfolio.

Medifox Dan with more than 700 personnel at nine locations across Germany, develops software solutions and services for therapeutic practices, professional and non-professional care, and child, family, as well as youth welfare facilities.

Akin to ResMed’s US SaaS brands — MatrixCare and Brightree solutions, Medifox Dan’s financial, administrative, and operational solutions offer care documentation, administration, personnel planning, and billing services to out-of-hospital care providers.
