RattanIndia backed Revolt welcomes waiver of EV registration charges
Revolt Motors, an electric motorbikes manufacturer backed by RattanIndia Enterprises has welcomed the Indian government’s decision to waive off registration charges for electric vehicles (EVs).
According to RattanIndia Enterprises, the decision will be a major boost for the sales of EVs as customers get to save a major portion of the cost of the vehicle as registration charges.
RattanIndia Enterprises said that with reducing battery prices, the costs of EV bikes are already comparable to their petrol counterparts. The waiver of registration costs will further make them affordable for the customers, said RattanIndia Enterprises.
Anjali Rattan — Business Chairman of RattanIndia Enterprises said: “The proactive approach of Central Govt. in providing incentives for electric vehicles clearly shows the seriousness of Govt. to accelerate EV adoption in the country. These incentive make EVs buying more attractive for customers versus any petrol bikes.”
