RattanIndia backed Revolt to reopen bookings for electric motorcycles

RattanIndia Enterprises said that Revolt Motors will reopen bookings for its electric motorcycles across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Ahmedabad from 18 June.

The Indian next gen-mobility company had earlier stopped taking fresh bookings due to an unprecedented number of bookings in May.

The Revolt electric motorcycle brand is presently operational in the six Indian cities. The electric motorcycle manufacturer, which is majority owned by RattanIndia, has advanced the delivery dates for the bookings made by customers which were earlier scheduled to be delivered in the latter part of 2021.

Revolt Motors is said to be working towards ramping up its production capacities so that customers do not have to wait for their Revolt motorcycles for long after making their bookings.

Rahul Sharma – CEO and MD of Revolt Motors said: “We are delighted with the response we have received from our customers across these 6 cities so far. The demand has been phenomenal, and we are sure that the various incentives being provided around pricing schemes like the My Revolt Plan (MRP) will help consumers make the shift to electric vehicles with ease.

“To add to that, the latest modification to the FAME II scheme with respect to the incentives is just going to fasten the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. We’re also working towards increasing the production capacity, and hence striving towards reducing the delivery gap between booking date and delivery.”

Under the revised FAME II scheme, Revolt Motors is said to gain INR 48,000 incentive per bike that it sells.

Revolt Motors’ RV400 has a 3KW (Mid Drive) motor, which is powered by a 72V, 3.24KWh lithium-Ion battery that can help deliver a top speed of 85km/h.
