The OBC Debate: Rahul Gandhi’s Challenge to Narendra Modi

In a piercing challenge to Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi broached the contentious topic of a caste census. He inquired why Modi, despite frequently mentioning ‘OBC’ in his speeches, fears the census. “Narendra Modi ji uses the word ‘OBC’ in every speech, but why is he scared of the caste census? OBCs have to become aware that they are being ditched,” voiced Rahul Gandhi. Re-emphasizing his earlier claim about the underrepresentation of the OBC community among the top government secretaries, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the disparity. He further promised a caste census by Congress if it ascends to power at the Centre.
