Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, an American provider of fire protection services and equipment, has acquired Michigan-based Vanguard Fire & Security Systems for an undisclosed price.
The deal marks the foray of Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Michigan, the 35th state in the US where the company has a footprint.
Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Vanguard Fire & Security Systems has locations in Kalamazoo, Saginaw, Detroit in Michigan and Pasadena in Texas, outside Houston.
Its team of highly-trained technicians checks, maintains, and installs sprinklers, fire alarms special hazard systems, and kitchen suppression along with security, CCTV, and alarm systems. They also provide emergency services round-the-clock as well as fire extinguishers on the move, mobile fire pumps, as well as central monitoring.
Vanguard Fire & Security Systems was established in 1957 and was purchased in 1990 by Darrell Thomas and Diane Thomas. The company has expanded to work in more than 40 states, with a staff of 225 people.
