Premier Truck Group acquires River States Truck and Trailer in strategic expansion

Premier Truck Group, a , Inc. (NYSE:PAG) subsidiary, has officially announced its acquisition of , Inc. (RSTT), a move expected to bolster its annualized revenue by $200 million. This strategic acquisition marks a significant expansion for as it extends its operational footprint across strategic trucking lanes in western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota.

River States Truck and Trailer operates five facilities along the vital Interstate corridors between Chicago and Minneapolis. The acquisition includes three full-service Freightliner and Western Star dealerships—set to be rebranded under the Premier Truck Group banner in Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Roberts. Additionally, two independent repair facilities in Osseo, WI, and Eagan, MN, will join Premier Truck Group’s network.

With this expansion, Premier Truck Group will integrate an additional 161,000 sq. ft. of facilities, 96 service bays, and 63 technicians into its already robust network. This enhancement is anticipated to improve service delivery and operational efficiency across its locations.

The expansion not only increases Premier Truck Group’s service capabilities but also adds collision centers at the Eagan and La Crosse locations, thereby expanding its heavy truck collision network to 12 locations. The strategic location of the new facilities will allow Premier Truck Group to better serve the Freightliner and Western Star customer base while leveraging scale to pursue further operational efficiencies.
