Plant-protein beverage Koia launches Fruit Infusions range
Koia, a ready-to-drink plant-protein beverage, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of new fruit-infused flavors in the US under the name Fruit Infusions, which integrate real fruit with superfoods.
Fruit Infusions has three fruit-based flavors in Chocolate Banana, Mango Creme and Strawberry Crème.
According to Koia, Fruit Infusions with 6gms of sugar per bottle have nearly nine times less the sugar content than competitors.
Apart from the benefits of real fruit – Koia’s Chocolate Banana is packed with maca, which provides extra energy. On the other hand, the Mango Creme is enriched with turmeric while the Strawberry Creme contains schisandra berry, a superfood originating from China.
Koia’s Fruit Infusions can be bought from Wegmans, Giant Eagle, Fresh Thyme, Earth Fare, Heinen’s, Haggen, Plum Market, and Better Health for $3.99.
All of Koia’s beverages are claimed to be vegan, non-GMO project verified, and also do not contain dairy, soy and gluten.
Commenting on the launch of Koia’s Fruit Infusions, Chris Hunter – Koia co-founder and CEO, said: “After conducting extensive research on current trends, we know that consumers continue to want fruit-forward flavors in their protein options.
“As we did with our original line, we listened to our consumers and filled the gap in the market while staying true to the simplicity of Koia’s core. Fruit Infusions are the perfect solution and expansion to our lineup of high-protein, low-sugar drinks made with clean ingredients.”
Koia was launched in 2016 across the US at Whole Foods Market. The natural, refrigerated protein drink is now sold across 3,000+ stores.
In March 2018, Koia came up with new packaging design and standardized nutrition labels for all its flavors – Cacao Bean, Vanilla Bean, Coconut Almond, Cinnamon Horchata, and Cold Brew Coffee.
