Philips surpasses 1500 cath lab installations in India, enhancing cardiac care
Royal Philips, a global leader in health technology, announced a significant milestone at India Live 2024 in New Delhi: the completion of over 1500 Cath Lab (interventional suite) installations across the Indian Subcontinent. This achievement underscores Philips’ commitment to enhancing healthcare through innovative solutions, aligning with the company’s Quadruple Aim: improving health outcomes, patient and staff experiences, and reducing the cost of care. In recent months, Philips has bolstered its presence with the installation of state-of-the-art Azurion Cath Labs in major Indian cities, including Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune.
At the same event, Philips unveiled two revolutionary products aimed at addressing India’s cardiovascular disease (CVD) burden. The introduction of OmniWire, the world’s first solid core pressure wire for coronary artery interventions, marks a significant advancement in cardiac care. OmniWire’s innovative design allows for easier navigation within the circulatory system, facilitating the precise measurement of blood pressure along vessels and guiding catheter and stent delivery. Additionally, Philips launched the Zenition 90 Motorized, a cutting-edge Image Guided Therapy Mobile C-arm System. Designed to support a wide range of clinical procedures, from complex vascular interventions to pain management and urology, the Zenition 90 Motorized exemplifies Philips’ dedication to delivering high-quality care.
