He expressed his devastation at the loss of his “friend, mentor, and brother.” Ashish Shah’s post read: “Extremely devastated to inform that my friend, mentor, brother, soulmate @AmbareeshMurty is no more. Lost him yesterday night to a cardiac arrest at Leh. Please pray for him and for strength to his family and near ones.”

This came after the platform secured a cumulative investment of $244 million over various funding rounds, with prominent investors such as Goldman Sachs and Bertelsmann India Investments backing it.
