Parity Technology acquires hotel solutions provider Hotspot International

Hospitality technology company Parity Technology Solutions has acquired Hotspot International, a hotel solutions provider for an undisclosed price, in a move to bolster its position in the hospital technology industry.

Hotspot International provides turnkey solutions in Mexico, the US, Central America, and the Caribbean. The company is engaged in offering High-Speed Internet Access (HSIA) and hosted software solution to centrally manage guest broadband across Mexico and the US.

Hotspot International works with AM Resorts, IHG, ILG, and Marriott, and other major hotel chains apart from having agreements with independent brands like Pueblo Bonito, Grupo Real Turismo (Camino Real and Quinta Real), Grupo Vidanta, and Eurostars.

On the other hand, Parity Technology Solutions is a single-source, managed technology provider that serves the hospitality, healthcare, multi-dwelling, and retail center markets. The company recently rebranded from Active Networks is said to grow its global presence and service offerings continuously by means of mergers and acquisitions with international technology providers.

Louis Miller – founder and CEO of Hotspot International, commenting on Parity Technology Solutions acquisition of Hotspot International, said: “The industry is evolving away from segmented technology where multiple vendors deliver separate solutions. This siloed approach no longer works. It’s costly and inefficient. The merger between Parity’s and Hotspot International drives our direction as a single-solution, single-point-of-contact provider. Our converged networks reduce operating costs to our hotel customers, provide greater efficiency, and seamlessly integrate all technology services.”

The acquisition of Hotspot International is expected to improve the product and service line of Parity Technology Solutions by adding an integrated solution that utilizes the rXg platform developed by RGNets. The implementation of micro-segmentation via auto-generated Dynamic VLANs and PANs is said to offer a more efficient and secure network, and also a better guest experience. Their WiFi Tracking Function enables participating guests to get special offers based on their location on the property.

The benefits to the hotel are lowered operating costs and increased sales. These and other features from Hotspot International are likely to be available shortly to Parity Technology Solutions’ customer base.

Parity Technology Solutions is set to open offices in China in January 2020, while expanding services into South America, India, the Caribbean, and Europe.

Commenting on Parity Technology Solutions acquisition of Hotspot International, Orlando Phillips -president of Parity Technology Solutions, said: “Our acquisition of Hotspot International complements us perfectly. We wanted a company that was founded on honesty and reliability, has an established brand loyalty as evidenced by their major hotel certifications, and also provides us the opportunity to expand our presence in South and Central America.”

Hotspot International will continue to operate independently as a subsidiary of Parity Technology Solutions.
