Paper Converting Machine Company buys RDP Marathon and IPT Digital

Wisconsin-based Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), a subsidiary of Barry-Wehmiller Company, has acquired RDP Marathon and IPT Digital to broaden its offering for customers by including digital printing technology.

The financial terms of the deals were not revealed.

Based in Canada, RDP Marathon is engaged in contract design and manufacturing for a range of high-mix/low volume industrial applications for the printing and packaging market.

IPT Digital, on the other hand, is a Florida-based printing equipment supplier.

PCMC plans to offer systems which convert existing presses into high-speed digital printing platforms through the acquisition of RDP Marathon and IPT Digital.

The company also expects to expand its capabilities and footprint across various packaging market through the transactions.

PCMC said that the inclusion of the innovative technology will speed up its growth in its current markets and will support its expansion into new markets, especially the folded carton business.
