Palo Alto Networks acquires Talon Cyber Security to enhance Prisma SASE solutions

Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW), the global cybersecurity leader, has announced the completion of its acquisition of Talon Cyber Security, marking a significant milestone in enhancing enterprise browser technology. This strategic move demonstrates Palo Alto Networks’ commitment to elevating its Prisma SASE solutions, integrating cutting-edge technology to provide top-tier security and data protection across all platforms and devices.

Nikesh Arora, chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. “We are thrilled to welcome Talon to Palo Alto Networks,” he said. Arora highlighted the growing reliance on web browsers for work, especially on unmanaged devices, and the associated security risks. He emphasized the seamless integration of Talon’s Enterprise Browser with Prisma SASE, which aims to bolster security for all users, irrespective of device or location. Furthermore, Palo Alto Networks plans to offer Talon’s Enterprise Browser technology to its qualified SASE AI customers at no additional cost, underlining their dedication to enhanced security measures.

In the current evolving threat landscape, the use of personal and unmanaged devices for accessing critical business applications has become prevalent. This trend, while boosting productivity, also elevates security risks due to the lack of consistent security measures across various devices.
