Orbita acquires Wellbe’s assets to amplify healthcare digital prowess
Orbita, the pioneering provider of smart virtual assistants and workflow automation tailored for the healthcare industry, has announced a game-changing move by acquiring the assets of Wellbe, a digital health company specializing in patient navigation for specialty care. This strategic acquisition encompasses Wellbe’s innovative software, its robust clientele, and key personnel.
Patty Riskind, the dynamic CEO of Orbita, articulated the value of this acquisition, emphasizing its potential to redefine healthcare’s digital landscape. “This merger marks the confluence of our collective strengths, fostering a holistic digital care pathway. Established in 2015, Orbita has rapidly etched its footprint in the healthcare sector with its state-of-the-art interactive virtual assistants. Leveraging conversational AI, the platform aims to revamp patient-provider interactions, boost operational efficiency, and curtail call volumes. Orbita’s solutions, powered by an amalgamation of generative AI, natural language processing, and proprietary algorithms, are adeptly tailored to the multifaceted needs of the healthcare domain.
On the other hand, Wellbe’s forte lies in sculpting secure digital navigation tools for specialty care niches, including bariatric surgery and orthopedics. Their solution ensures patients approach procedures with confidence and ease, simultaneously liberating clinical staff from mundane tasks.

Meanwhile, the technology front will witness James Donato helming it as Chief Technology Officer, leading the engineering brigade. Mark Cline, as Vice President for Customer Success, will be at the forefront of product management and implementation, with both joining Orbita’s ranks in 2018 and operating under Ben Schilens, the Chief Customer Officer.
