Nucor Corporation, a US-based manufacturer of steel and steel products, said that its towers and structures business division will construct a new electric transmission tower production plant in Decatur, Alabama.

The new transmission tower production facility will be built next to the Nucor Steel Decatur sheet steel mill. It is the initial of two tower-producing plants that the Nucor Corporation is planning to construct with an investment of $270 million, as announced in December 2022.

The transmission tower production plant is expected to generate 200 full-time roles.
