Motorola Solutions to start commercial deployment of MOTOTRBO Nitro
Motorola Solutions said that MOTOTRBO Nitro, its Citizens’ Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) based private broadband solution, will take part in the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) initial commercial deployment (ICD) phase.
The deployment of MOTOTRBO Nitro follows the FCC’s public notice of approval for its ICD phase, which is expected this month.
According to Motorola Solutions, the recently available 3.5 GHz spectrum addresses the market requirement for instant broadband communications for enterprise operations, with better coverage and better speeds.
As a member of the CBRS Alliance, the company said that it was involved in the CBRS standards-setting process from the start. Earlier this year, Motorola Solutions rolled out Nitro to offer commercial operations with customized private networks that provide voice and also broadband data.

Motorola Solutions said that with MOTOTRBO Nitro, it taps into more than a decade of private-broadband expertise to provide an end-to-end enterprise broadband solution.
The company said that the network core is hosted in the cloud, while delivering the entire network as a service to make operation secure, scalable, and hassle-free.
Customers can make use of their CBRS network with any device by utilizing the SLN 1000, a push-to-talk radio built particularly for CBRS, as a Wi-Fi hot spot.
