Minnesota-based Henry’s Foods to be acquired by AMCON Distributing Company

AMCON Distributing Company, a Nebraska-based convenience distributor, has agreed to acquire Minnesota-based Henry’s Foods for an undisclosed price.

Headquartered in Alexandria, Henry’s Foods caters to food service accounts, grocery stores, and convenience stores. The products it supplies are from brands such as Grandma E’s Bakery, DeliMax, Java Classics, Teco’s Tacos, Fresh Pressed Café, and Slammerz among others.

AMCON Distributing Company said that the business and name of Henry’s Foods will stay in the marketplace and the latter will operate as its fully-owned subsidiary with Kellie Janssen to continue in the role of president.

The deal, which is subject to customary conditions, is likely to close in AMCON Distributing Company’s second quarter of fiscal 2023.
