L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad debuts RCS ticketing with Route Mobile and Billeasy

L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad has launched an innovative ticketing system based on Rich Communication Services (RCS) and Google Wallet integration, thanks to its partnership with Route Mobile Limited and Billeasy E Solutions Private Limited. This move marks a significant leap in public transport technology, providing commuters with an enhanced, seamless ticketing experience directly within their native messaging applications.

Commuters can now purchase e-tickets using RCS chat and save them in their Google Wallet for easy scanning. This approach eliminates the need for downloading additional apps and cuts down on wait times at station ticket counters. Currently, the service is available to Android users, with future plans to support iOS when RCS is extended to Apple’s ecosystem in India.

Reddy, the Managing Director and CEO of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad, expressed that this integration marks a significant milestone in digitizing metro services and showcases their commitment to innovation in public transport.
