Love or Espionage? The enigma of Seema Haider entry into India
Seema Ghulam Haider (Seema Haider), a Pakistani woman who illegally crossed borders with her four children to stay with her Noida-based lover, Sachin Meena, continues to stir controversy. Ever since her arrest for illegal residence in India on July 4 and subsequent bail release three days later, she’s been the talk of the town.
Speculations are rife about Seema Haider’s motives. Some suspect her of being an agent for Pakistan’s spy agency, ISI, while others believe it’s simply a case of cross-border love. Former Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh has called for a comprehensive investigation into her case, expressing scepticism about how she managed to cross borders with four children undetected.
In response to these allegations, Seema Haider has firmly denied being an ISI agent. She shared with Zee Media her love for Sachin Meena, who she claims has cared for her children since they met and married in Nepal. She also expressed fear for her life from threats emanating from Pakistan, appealing to Indian authorities not to deport her.
Seema Haider’s journey to India began when she fell in love with Sachin Meena over the online gaming platform PUBG. Her adaptation to Indian culture and customs, including converting to Hinduism and adopting a vegetarian diet, has garnered much attention. The couple’s arrest on July 4 brought their unusual cross-border love story into the limelight, with Seema Haider being accused of entering India illegally and Sachin Meena of harboring an illegal immigrant.
The pair’s love story unfolded during the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to a meeting in Nepal where they got married. Following the meeting, Haider arranged to travel with her children from Pakistan to Nepal, then to Delhi and finally Greater Noida, where Sachin Meena had secured accommodation for her.
The plot thickens as Seema Haider’s estranged husband, Gulam Haider, residing in Saudi Arabia, has called for the return of his wife and children to Pakistan. Claiming his wife was manipulated into leaving via PUBG, Gulam has thanked the Indian media for their support in uncovering the whereabouts of his family.
