Larsen & Toubro unit, Microsoft to develop cloud solutions for enterprises

Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI), a subsidiary of Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T), said that it has expanded its partnership with tech giant Microsoft to focus on creating high-value cloud solutions for enterprises.

Under the multi-year collaboration, the Indian technology consulting and digital solutions has established a dedicated Microsoft business unit to develop and offer end-to-end digital transformation solutions.

Siddharth Bohra — Larsen & Toubro Infotech Chief Business Officer and Head of Cloud Business Unit said: “Enterprises across the globe are increasingly embracing cloud, and LTI has made impressive strides in developing a multi-dimensional capability on Azure to meet this demand.

“As part of this collaboration, LTI and Microsoft will jointly innovate, develop, and sell solutions to assist enterprises in acceleration of their digital transformation journeys.”

As part of the partnership, Larsen & Toubro Infotech will also give training to 12,000 professionals from its current workforce on multiple Microsoft technologies by 2024. The primary goal of this is to facilitate skill development of its employees who are a part of the Microsoft business unit and boost their competencies across technologies such as cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), data, and security.

Nachiket Deshpande — Larsen & Toubro Infotech Chief Operating Officer said: “LTI has a long-standing relationship with Microsoft as a strategic partner, service provider, and customer.

“Our reaffirmed partnership with Microsoft will enable us to innovate and offer 170+ distinct services to our joint customers. Additionally, we will also focus on the training and upskilling of our talent pool that is a part of the dedicated Microsoft business unit, to empower them to meet changing business and market requirements.”
