Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its construction arm bagged multiple contracts for its building and factories (B&F) and power transmission and distribution businesses, worth in the range of INR10 billion to INR25 billion.
The B&F unit’s residential business has secured an add-on order from an undisclosed developer for carrying out core and shell works of a couple of wings of a tower along with the non-tower area works.
The L&T unit also bagged a design and build contract from an undisclosed client for the construction of a multispecialty hospital in Nagpur in Maharashtra, India.
The scope of the project, which has to be executed in a fast tracked manner, includes structure, finishes, MEP, and medical gas pipeline system, to be carried out completely in structural steel, including the core.
L&T said that its IT& office space business has won an order from an undisclosed client to carry out the civil shell and core works of a mixed used building in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The scope of contract includes the construction of a tower of 9.06 lakh sft, which has to be wrapped up in a period of 18 months.
On the other hand, L&T Construction’s power transmission and distribution unit won another package to supply electrical and mechanical systems for tunnels in the Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla rail link project.
Under the scope of the package, L&T will supply 33kV & 11kV HT power cable network, DG sets, GIS substation, tunnel lighting, ventilation and firefighting systems and SCADA system.
The L&T unit also won another underground cabling package in a South Indian city aimed at boosting the reliability of power supply. Besides, the unit secured add-on orders from its existing customers.
