Larsen & Toubro (L&T) bags multiple construction contracts in India
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its construction arm has bagged orders from certain clients for its heavy civil infrastructure, water and effluent treatment, and building and factories businesses.
The company’s heavy civil infrastructure business has won an EPC order for constructing a new four-lane bridge, parallel to the existing Vikramshila Setu bridge, from Km 8+080 to Km 14+309, including approaches across the Ganga River on the newly declared NH-131B at Bhagalpur in Bihar.
The project is slated to be wrapped up in 48 months.
L&T Construction’s water and effluent treatment unit has won a design, build, and operate order from the Amritsar Municipal Corporation for engineering, procurement and construction of bulk water supply system in Amritsar.
Financed by the World Bank’s International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the project is part of Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Project (PMSIP).
L&T’s scope includes designing and construction of an offtake chamber, raw water sump and pumphouse, installing a 440 MLD water treatment plant, clear water reservoir and pumphouse, overhead service reservoirs, transmission pipelines, SCADA with control room for full operation and control automation of all systems.
The project will enable safe and potable drinking water for the residents of Amritsar.
L&T Construction’s building and factories business has won an order from an undisclosed client for constructing a commercial office space at Gurgaon. With a built-up area of 1.2 Mn sft, the building will have four basements, ground and 24 floors.
The factories arm of the business has won an order from an Indian paint manufacturer for constructing a paint manufacturing plant in Sandila, Uttar Pradesh.
