Crompton Greaves secures landmark solar water pump orders, expanding its sustainability commitment
In an impressive continuation of its commitment to sustainable agriculture and renewable energy, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has announced another significant achievement under the PM-KUSUM scheme, securing its fourth consecutive order for solar water pumping systems in the state of Haryana. This latest order, endorsed by the New & Renewable Energy Department Haryana and HAREDA, encompasses the supply, installation, and commissioning of diverse solar photovoltaic water pumping systems, collectively valued at over Rs. 9 crores. This milestone is part of a broader initiative led by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), aimed at revitalizing and establishing new connections for 6.5 lakh pumps across India, with Crompton’s cumulative orders from HAREDA now totaling Rs 65.6 crores.
Further bolstering its position in the sustainable energy domain, Crompton has also received a Letter of Empanelment for 2,500 solar pumping systems across Maharashtra from MSEDCL and MEDA, and an additional 1,000 systems in Rajasthan from the Commissionerate of Horticulture. The total value of these empanelments approximates Rs 85 crores, marking a significant stride toward agricultural sustainability.
